FAQ
Common Questions.
Do I need a special license to carry your products?
Yes. Your pharmacy must be licensed by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy before it can dispense medical cannabis. If you’re already a licensed THC pharmacy, you’re set. If not, the licensing process takes time, and we’ll walk you through the steps and a realistic timeline on your discovery call.
We're not licensed yet. Is it worth starting now?
Yes, and earlier is better. Licensing runs on the state’s clock, so pharmacies that begin now will have product on the shelf when patients start asking.
Which products can I actually carry under the new law?
Tinctures, topicals, capsules, lozenges, S2’s. SB 220 approved the vaporization of Cannabis Oil and Cannabis Flower for patients older than 21.
How are products delivered and stored?
Botanical Sciences handles delivery directly: we use secure, state-approved vehicles and schedule each delivery with your pharmacy. On your end, storage is straightforward—room temperature, access-controlled, and compliant with state requirements. We walk your team through it with a written storage-and-handling checklist at onboarding.
Who carries the liability if there's a compliance issue?
We will each share different aspects of regulatory compliance. You’re responsible for your pharmacy’s licensure and dispensing practices. We’re responsible for maintaining our Production License and handling product-side compliance, including lab testing and COAs, accurate labeling, and product compliance on everything we deliver.
What's your return or expiry policy on unsold products?
All medical cannabis products must pass analytical testing, and those certificates of analysis (COAs) expire after one year. We will strive to ensure that all products we deliver have the longest possible shelf life. And if a product’s COA is nearing expiration, we’ll either replace it before it expires or re-test it and give you updated labels — so a short-dated COA never becomes a loss for you.
What marketing and training support is included?
We train your staff so they can field real patient questions instead of reading from a pamphlet. We supply co-branded patient education materials, in-store signage, and plain-language updates whenever the regulatory picture shifts.
How long does onboarding take?
Once you have received your license from the Board of Pharmacy, we will schedule a discovery call. Most partners are onboarded and receive their first order within 30 days of the discovery call. If you still need state approval, the timeline depends on the Commission, and we’ll give you a straight estimate up front rather than an optimistic one.
What are the wholesale terms and minimums?
Opening orders start low so you can test demand without overcommitting shelf capital. Pricing is wholesale with standard margin on medical cannabis SKUs. The first order is prepaid; net-30 terms apply after that. Your specific pricing sheet is account-based, and we put it in writing before you order, not after.
