Botanical Sciences Hosts Veterans Appreciation Dedication and Picnic in Tandem with Third Metro Atlanta Dispensary Opening in Chamblee

GLENNVILLE, Ga. (Nov. 15, 2023) – Botanical Sciences, Georgia’s first physician-founded medical cannabis provider, announces its third metro Atlanta dispensary is now open in Chamblee. Along with the opening, Botanical Sciences hosted a dedication ceremony and picnic to honor Georgia Veterans and patients seeking hope and relief. Now open at 3927 Buford Highway, the Chamblee dispensary offers the long-anticipated relief to Georgians in need.

“Our commitment to honoring our veterans goes beyond our Chamblee opening; we are committed to empowering veterans on their path to wellness by providing them with the hope and relief they deserve,” says Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences. “With the opening of our Chamblee dispensary, we’re one step closer to providing equitable access to this crucial medicine from all corners of the state.”

A distinguished lineup of speakers marked the momentous occasion of Botanical Sciences’ fourth dispensary opening in the state. Speakers included Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences; Dr. Robin Fowler, Founder of Botanical Sciences; Michael Thurmond, CEO of DeKalb County; The Honorable Brian K. Mock, Mayor of the City of Chamblee; Veteran Montel Williams, Emmy Award-winning TV Personality, long-time medical cannabis advocate, author and speaker; Veteran Doug Maddi, U.S. Army Ranger for Life, Decorated Retired Command Sergeant Major; and Cheryl Faulkner, cancer thriver and owner of Sweet Recovery.

Botanical Sciences has set the standard for medical cannabis dispensary design, creating spaces that support a seamless and stress-free experience at every touchpoint. The dispensaries feature streamlined design, soothing color palettes and environmental accents that put patients, many of whom are new to medical cannabis, at ease. Recently, Botanical Sciences received the Graphic Design USA Health + Wellness Design Award for its branding, identity and package design, incorporating these elements throughout the space.

Alongside the Chamblee location, Botanical Sciences now has dispensaries in Pooler, Marietta, and Stockbridge, with the fifth location to open in Augusta before the end of the year. In addition to its owned dispensaries, Botanical Sciences’ products will be available at over 130 independent, licensed pharmacies throughout the state. This network now provides 90% of all Georgians to be within 30 minutes of a Botanical Sciences dispensing location. Georgia is the first state in the country to authorize the dispensing of medical cannabis through pharmacies to registered patients, allowing Botanical Sciences to bring relief to more patients in need than ever before.
